About This Event

Are you curious about how different therapeutic modalities can support people who stutter? Join us for an interactive workshop led by Naomi Zauderer, LCSW, as she introduces three powerful approaches—Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—specifically tailored for stuttering challenges.

This hands-on workshop will provide insight into what therapy sessions using these modalities actually feel like, with demonstrations and opportunities for participation. Rather than just learning about these approaches theoretically, you'll experience aspects of how they work in practice.

Whether you're a person who stutters seeking new options, a speech therapist expanding your toolkit, or a mental health professional interested in stuttering support, this workshop will provide valuable perspectives on holistic approaches to stuttering.

What You'll Learn

In this interactive workshop, you'll:

  • Experience how IFS can help identify and heal parts of yourself connected to stuttering patterns

  • Understand the body-mind connection in stuttering through Sensorimotor Psychotherapy

  • Learn practical ACT techniques for developing a new relationship with stuttering

  • Discover strategies to address the emotional and psychological dimensions of stuttering

  • See how these approaches can complement traditional speech therapy

  • Gain resources for further exploration in your stuttering journey
