What is the scope of this professional development?

This is a one-of-a-kind professional development experience where you will develop your-“self” and your tool belt of skills (with a community of peers) to become a better clinician and guide for the people you serve. While our explicit focus is “stuttering,” the impact of this experience will influence you far more deeply and beyond stuttering per se.

What ages will be covered in this professional development?

Our content is designed to give you what you need to help school-age children, teens and adults who stutter. This training will NOT focus on preschool-age children who stutter.
The principles of the course will be applicable to all ages and all communication concerns.

Is this for me? (I am not a speech language pathologist.)

This English language training is designed for our colleagues, professionals of all levels of experience - from beginners to advanced - speech-language pathologists, speech-language therapists, SLPA’s. No prior experience required. Teens and adults who stutter may consider our Transcending Stuttering group experience.

Can I earn credits for professional development? (CEU / CMH credits)

Upon completion, you can earn a certificate worth 8 CMH credits, which count towards your required 30 hours of ASHA Professional Development and depending on your state, may satisfy state license renewal requirements. These are NOT “ASHA CEU’s” which means these will satisfy your continuing education requirements, but will not automatically appear in your CE registry. For more, see here.
